It should come as no surprise to anyone who has followed CMEpalooza for more than a few minutes that our favorite decade is the 1980s. That was when both Derek and I grew up and, ahem, “matured” into the responsible adults that we are today.
So it should also come as no surprise to anyone who has followed CMEpalooza for more than a few minutes that this Spring special sponsor event has an 80s theme (but no, you did not have to be alive in the 80s to do just as well to anyone else).
So welcome everyone to CMEpalooza Pursuit (the 80s edition).
Here are the rules:
1. Call up the Sponsor page on the CMEpalooza website. You’ll need this for reference purposes to access our Sponsor’s websites.
2. Download the CMEpalooza Pursuit (the 80s edition) question form by clicking on this link.
You’ll see that questions are divided into categories that align with Trivial Pursuit (80s Edition) – Entertainment, In the News, Personalities, Sports & Leisure, and Wild Card. There are four companies/questions within each category — the answers to all of the questions can be found on each company’s website.
Don’t worry, you don’t need to answer every question – just one per category.
3. Since we are so high tech at Palooza HQ, there are no more paper and pencil forms. You just need to go to this link to submit your answers. You can submit up to four answer forms, but you need to answer different questions on each entry. This rule will be strictly enforced.
We promise that none of the questions are tricky or difficult. They can all be found either on the company homepage or within one click of the homepage.
4. The deadline for submissions is 11:59 p.m. ET on Friday, April 18. Perhaps you make this a company-wise challenge and have your entire team enter individually. Perhaps you keep this a secret so that your chances of winning improve. Whatever. Just make sure that your entry is submitted by the deadline.
We’ll choose five winners, each of whom will receive a $100 Amazon gift card. That should buy you about half a tank of gas.
Good luck everyone.

Let me just fire up my fax machine and dial-up modem and I’ll be right on it.
