CMEpalooza STEPtacular Winners!

Thanks to everyone who participated in our third CMEpalooza STEPtacular Challenge! We had a great response and our most participants ever.

Of course, a very special thank you to Talem Health for sponsoring the event and providing the T-shirts. All of you who didn’t participate are going to be very jealous of how awesome the rest of us look.

And now…on to the winners!

Winners of the $50 Amazon gift card drawing (one entry for each daily screenshot showing over 10,000 steps)

  1. Andrea Funk
  2. Rhona Fraser
  3. Amanda Glazar
  4. Katie Robinson
  5. Vanessa Gray

Winner of $250 Amazon gift card for most steps in one day

Riaz Baxamusa with a truly ridiculous 53,200 steps! I don’t know exactly how many miles that translates to but I think Riaz must have walked from Chicago to Philly and back again.

Congratulations to all!

REMINDER: CMEpalooza STEPtacular Challenge Ends Sunday

On Monday, I posted about the start of the CMEpalooza STEPtacular Challenge and included a Top 5 list of songs with “walk” in the title. Here’s the list:

5. Walk On the Wild Side – Lou Reed
4. Walking On Sunshine – Katrina & The Waves
3. Walk Like an Egyptian – The Bangles
2. Walking in Memphis – Marc Cohn
1. Walk This Way – Run-D.M.C. & Aerosmith

I was immediately bombarded with messages from individuals outraged over the songs I did not include in the list. Unfortunately for them, all rankings are final, as I’ve previously noted numerous times. However, I am happy to put together an unprecedented second Top 5 list of songs with “walk” in the title.

5. Walk Like a Man – Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons
4, Walk of Life – Dire Straits
3, Walkin’ After Midnight – Patsy Cline
2. These Boots Are Made for Walkin’ – Nancy Sinatra
1. I Walk The Line – Johnny Cash

This list is somehow even older than the first Top 5 list, with Dire Straits’ Walk of Life the “newest” song. It was released in 1985. Well done, everyone.

The CMEpalooza STEPtacular Challenge ends Sunday. Click here for all the details.

Good luck, and happy stepping!
